single family homes vary in size from just under 1400sf to over
3500sf. These golf course properties generally give the owner a
panoramic view of the golf course, be it our seven owned facilities,
Briarwood Country Club (Private) or Hillcrest GC (a Public course).
Residents of Condominiums pay an
association fee for exterior or common yard maintenance, exterior
painting, insurance, trash removal, water, sewer and roof repair/
replacement etc. on a monthly basis. Not everything is included in
your association fee, so ask your Realtor to check this out for you.
There are over 380 different home owners
associations just in Sun City and most charge a nominal monthly
association fee to include some of the items mentioned above. Sun City
West has approximately 72 different associations plus a number of
smaller ones in the expansion area.
Our golf course homes consist of

Each year in the fall, courses close on a
rotational basis, when each is over-seeded in Ryegrass, allowing for
greener courses throughout our playing year. Bermuda grasses get an
early start from dormancy with the advent of warmer weather in March
and April.
In fall, the afternoons becoming cooler,
barbeques are center-stage for patio parties and visiting relatives
and friends.
Supermarkets (Safeway, Albertson and Sun Foods
IGA) offer two-for-one sales on meats (including turkeys) and a
variety of fresh vegetables for the discriminating BBQer. For those
that are retired from the US Armed Forces, the Luke AFB Commissary is
just a few minutes away and is now open 7 days a week.
The primary reason people relocate to Sun City
West is the warm weather and sunshine for more than 300 days a year.
Some retire and spend 6 sunshine months in Sun City West and 6
months in their Home Towns somewhere up north or east. Others live
here the year around but travel the hotter months to cooler areas.
